Welcome Back to the 2024-25 School Year
Families, please read and review the guidelines and recommendations for your child as they return to school for the 2024-25 school year.
These are found in the document to the right.
Reporting an Absence!
Attendance in school is essential. However, if your child has to miss a day, please click HERE to discover how you can report your child's absence from school.
Bus Transportation
The bus route plans for Sprucewood Academy are determined according to District Policy and are made public on their website.
Clicking HERE will bring you to the District's Transportation Portal.
On the NL School's Website you will find a Parent Portal Login. The Student Transportation Parent Portal is designed to provide families with important information regarding their child's eligibility for busing and transportation schedule. By creating an account on the Parent Portal, you will have access to details such as your child's bus route, assigned bus stop location, and projected pickup/drop off times. Additionally, you will receive email notifications about any routing changes that may affect your child throughout the school year. We encourage all parents to click on the Parent Portal icon above and create an account to stay informed about their child's transportation arrangements.

Safe Arrival
At NLESD one of our greatest priorities is ensuring that all our students arrive safely at school each and every day.
To enhance our existing absence-checking procedure, we are using a more efficient student absence reporting system called SafeArrival. This system will reduce the time it takes to verify student attendance, make it easy for you to report your child’s absence and easy for staff to respond to unexplained student absences.
Student Usernames and Passwords
Username and Password
At Sprucewood, technology integration is a big part of your child’s education. Computer usage, Wi-Fi access, Google Classroom, and related applications are a large part of what we do. As a result, remembering usernames and passwords are very important.
